Maddie and Matt tied the knot at The Coach House, Markshall Estate in Coggeshall, Essex last Autumn. Their big day was vintage in feeling and aesthetic, as the couple share an appreciation of history and the war-time era.
I was so pleased when Maddie reached out to me to get her ready, particularly as I had played a part in her Maid of Honour, Emma’s wedding day, so to be reconnecting with this group of ladies was very special indeed!
At her trial we tried a “pin-up” inspired updo, featuring an S-Wave face-framing fringe, very reminiscent of 1940’s war-time hairstyling. I also showed Maddie how her hair would look in a Hollywood wave down-do, and this was her choice on the day – full Golden Era glamour!

Maddie’s classically vintage hairstyle was completed with a crystal-studded floor length veil and a bridal comb, first worn by her sister Natasha and given to her to wear on her special day as her “something borrowed”.
The wedding dress was truly stunning! Maddie wore a vintage, pink silk Millie May Bridal dress with a white lace overlay. With all styling elements combined, Maddie was a sight to behold – what an absolutely breath-taking bride she made!
