I’m a WINNER baby!!!
My lovely brides-to-be can now say they have booked an “award-winning” hairstylist for their wedding hair services on their special days in 2023!!
I am so, so thrilled to be able to say that I am the proud WINNER of the ESSEX WEDDING AWARDS “Hair Stylist of the Year” award for 2023 😊
On Thursday 17th November I attended a black-tie gala to commemorate the Essex Wedding Awards 2023, which took place at the gorgeous Fennes Estate. After a delicious three-course meal, fab entertainment in the form of a “singing waiter” and photobooth paraphernalia, it was time for all finalists in various industry-specific categories to gather round for the moment we had all been waiting for… the award ceremony. From florists, cakemakers, videographers, event stylists, all the way through to us beauty professionals, we sat with bated breath waiting our turn to find out if each of us had won in our specialist category. I literally froze on the spot when I heard “Brides By Rose” being read out! I had to be coaxed up onto the stage by event-organiser Vanessa to accept my award from Radio Essex’s Martin and Sue and event sponsor I am Emily Design.
A few espresso-martinis, some bubbly and a lot of “dancing-whilst-hugging-my-trophy” later, I have come back down to earth and spent a few days reflecting on what I have achieved and how far I have come, particularly after enduring difficulties brought on by the Covid-19 Pandemic in 2020.
I am truly over-the-moon to have won this accolade and I have my beautiful brides, past and present, to thank. Every single one of my wedding clients and their extended bridal party members make the early starts, the admin and the hard work worth it!
Winning the EWA 2023 “Hair Stylist of the Year” is testament to the fact that I always strive to deliver my best design work, I ensure my brides are looking and feeling their best when it matters most to them, and I have YOUR vote of confidence to say I’m worth the investment!
I’ve gotten a renewed sense of enthusiasm for what I do and drive to push myself to do more in 2023 and beyond. I’m eager to get started! x
